We would like to thank everyone who attended our AGM last month and we hope you like our new venue. As usual the supper cooked by Vicki was delicious and we thank her for all her hard work. Likewise, many thanks go to the Committee members who gave us a wonderful choice of scrummy puddings.
The points raised by Members at the meeting have been taken on board and we will be addressing the issue of church flowers at our next workshop in April so do make sure you come along. If you have any church flower arranger friends that you think may be interested, bring them along too, they will be very welcome.
Nosh and Knowledge
Our first Nosh and Knowledge fund raising evening this year is booked for Saturday 28 March at Ashford Road Community Association hall so make a note in your diaries and encourage friends to join you for the evening.
Another diary date is Kent Area’s JDS&E Day to be held at Ditton near Maidstone on 20 March. Tickets are £24 for a morning speaker, two-course lunch and a National demonstrator in the afternoon. All members are welcome to attend, it is not a day for only Judges, Demonstrators, Speakers or Tutors so contact Vicki if you think you would like to attend. Email email@example.com or phone 01227 751511.
Our next meeting on Monday 17 February is something a little different. Dr Patty Baker is talking to us about Roman floral designs and the evening will include our participation in recreating Roman floral crowns so just scissors and secateurs are needed. We do hope you will all be able to attend what we are sure will be a fascinating and creative workshop. Looking forward to seeing you all again on Monday.
